Equality and Diversity
Higher Bebington Junior School is an inclusive school where all are welcome. We celebrate diversity and champion equality. Our school community and everybody who enters our school is expected to behave in a way that respects the protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010. At Higher Bebington, we recognise the need to celebrate and value the diversity of society as we prepare our children to contribute to life now and in the future.
We recognise the four prohibited behaviours under the Equality Act 2010 - to protect people from direct discrimination, indirect discrimination, harassment, and victimisation. The school actively works to ensure this is the case. In accordance with the Equality Act 2010, we believe that no one should be discriminated against and ensure that the nine protected characteristics outlined in the act are adhered to.
